Effect of alcohol on the brain

Brain

An important feature of Alcohol 101 Plus is the animated segment about how alcohol affects various parts of the brain. The facilitator can use the computer mouse to "open" various sections of the brain.

This creates a visual "dissection" of the brain to demonstrate the range of places where alcohol affects the body. It helps focus discussion on alcohol's effects on the cognitive functions (such as judgment and memory) and physical functions (such as balance and eye movement) of the human body.

 Safety tips

This segment allows participants to increase their knowledge of the brain, better understand the effects of alcohol on performance, and recognize the importance of making responsible decisions.
