Welcome to
Alcohol 101 Plus, an innovative, interactive website featuring video, animation and virtual reality.
It’s designed to encourage you, through personal exploration of a "virtual campus" to make safe, informed and responsible decisions about alcohol.
This award-winning program provides the latest, up-to-date content designed to address the problems of specific at-risk populations within the college and university community.
These include among others:
First-year students
Greeks
Athletes
Judicial policy offenders
Each segment explores special issues and decisions regarding alcohol for students in each of these groups.
From the challenges of hosting safe and responsible parties in a Greek setting, to the special peer pressures that athletes and first-year students face, Alcohol 101 Plus will provide you and your instructors with thoughtful and realistic scenarios for reflection and discussion in these, as well as many other related topics.
Your exploration is about to begin.
Remember, on the "virtual campus" just like on your college or university campus your paths and your choices are your own.
Use all the resources at hand, have fun and remember that in a non-linear virtual world you’re able to "rewind" an experience to learn from alternative outcomes based on the choices made and their consequences.
If you’re a first-year student, it might make sense to start at the
First-Year Residence and go on from there, but as we said it’s your choice.
Along the way, check out the
Virtual Bar and the
Virtual Brain that will show how alcohol influences your bodies’ functions and your actions.
When you’re ready, you’ll be taking the B4U Drink Challenge which will test your knowledge of the how alcohol may affect your life on campus and beyond college.
You can select your destinations by either taking a spin around "virtual campus" in the VR view above from the center of
The Quad and by clicking on a building or by direct access from the buttons on the left.
Well, it’s time to get out there.
If you should run into problems click on either the
Map or
Help buttons at the top of the page.
